Prior to her return to Nigeria, she had been on Broadway and acted in ‘Coloured museum’ and ‘Revenge of the king’. She teamed up with the ‘Tinsel’ family and got a role as Adanna. Her victory at the 2011 Next Movie Star ushered her into the industry and, so far, the Delta State born actress has appeared in a few movies and TV series. She has continued to work earnestly as a stage actor, starring in Elechi Amadi’s ‘Woman of Calabar’. Her role in the movie ‘Desperate house girls’ shot her into the limelight.

Tope Tedela

The spotlight shone on young Tedela when he won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in the movie, ‘A mile from home.’ He has also featured in ‘Torn’ in 2013 and ‘Twisted’ in 2007, as well as some stage productions. A graduate of Mass Communication from UNILAG, Tedela is undoubtedly an actor with great prospects.

Uru Eke

Uru began acting while in the UK. She started with the group, The Association of Multinational Performing Artists in productions like ‘The reunion’, ‘Stripes’ and ‘The salon’. She has more than 10 movies under her belt, including ‘Ebony’, ‘Lucky Joe’, ‘African soldier’, ‘Friends in Love’, ‘Timeless passion’ and, most recently, ‘Last flight to Abuja’. She was awarded the Best Upcoming Actress in 2011 by BON.

Uti Nwachukwu

His journey into acting began with an appearance in the Amstel Malta Box Office and later, Big Brother All Stars, which he won in 2010. The dreadlocked 31-year-old has about ten movies to his credit and has starred alongside Monalisa Chinda, Ini Edo, Bukky Wright, Genevieve Nnaji and other Nollywood top shots. He has appeared in movies like ‘Weekend getaway’, ‘Red hot’, ‘In the cupboard’ and others. He has won a number of awards, including Best New Actor at GIAMA 2012. He doubles as a show host on ‘Jara’ alongside comedienne, Helen Paul.

Uzor Osimkpa

She calls herself a woman and a half and this is not unconnected to her dogged approach towards her past endeavours. Although she didn’t win, Uzor made an impressive mark while she was at the Gulder Ultimate Search camp and did same at the MTV VJ search, beating hundreds of people to be part of the last 34. She plays Delmwa on MNet sponsored series ‘Tinsel’ and has also appeared in productions including ‘Olurombi’, ‘Doctors quarters’, ‘Edge of paradise’ and ‘Shallow waters.’

Retired Super Eagles star, Kanu Nwankwo and his wife Amarachi got married in December 2004, in Imo State, Nigeria. They are blessed with three wonderful kids.

Former World footballer of the year, George Oppong Weah, and his wife, Clar got married during his active playing career in France in the early 90’s. Clar, in her late 30’s is an astute backer of her husband’s career during his numerous moves from club to club, and his foray in to the world of politics. George, reputed to be one of the most successful footballer in the world, won three top awards, African Footballer of the year, European Footballer of the year, FIFA World Footballer of the Year, all in the year 1995. After retirement from active soccer, he contested in the presidential election of his native country, Liberia in 2005 losing to current president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in a keenly contested election. They are blessed with four children.

For me, I knew when I was experiencing constant arguments, often the same arguments, over and over. When the misunderstandings and emotional stress never goes away, they tend to be the emotional equivalent of a cancerous growth. If your friendship is destructive to your own self-worth and well being it’s time to let it go. Especially, if the negative outweighs the positive.
For most of us, it’s hard to accept that a friendship has run it’s course. Hopefully, this article has helped you to recognize when that time has come.
